SFEDI (Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative) is the nationally recognised awarding body that sets the standard for business and learning support.

SFEDI and the Institute of Leadership of Management (ILM)

SFEDI has formed a strategic partnership with the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) and has developed several ILM endorsed programmes, based on the existing SFEDI business support national standards.

The ILM is dedicated to advancing the capability of managers and leaders worldwide through the provision of expert qualifications, comprehensive membership services and learning resources. By improving the management knowledge, confidence and ability of individuals, ILM can contribute to enhanced business performance.

The business support programme in addition to the 8 core standard is soon to include optional additional specialist areas, providing individuals with the option to be accredited against one of these and possible progression to the new SFEDI/ILM Certificate and Diploma in Business Support.
